Hi there!

My name is Xiaoyan or Dawn. I’m currently living in Lisbon. At the beginning of my career a decade ago, I had been working in the Portuguese financial sector in major investment banks. In recent years I have been working with startups from different sectors in Portugal, managing their finances, taxes and fundraising events, and help investment funds perform investment analysis.

During my experience working with startups, finance function (revenue, expenses, runway, taxes, etc) is not the area where startup founders would like to invest their limited resources in until the finances get too messy to manage, and the CEOs are usually too busy to plan the resources until the companies grow too fast to get the numbers clear and straight to support their fundraising.

That’s when I realise someone like me with experiences in managing finances can jump in on a part-time basis to provide the services with low time and cost commitment.

How I and my team work?

Instead of locking you into long-term contracts, I work on a service model in the form of a low commitment, flat monthly fee. Depending on which stage your company is in, there are different engagement models, such as one-off fees for tax consultation, building a business plan for fundraising, or monthly retainer for monthly financial planning, analysis and budgeting.

I and my team will plug into your businesses seamlessly and proactively create with you a proper financial and tax plan for success on a part-time basis.
